Wills came to DePauw during the summer of 2007 as the Tigers' head field hockey coach and has led DePauw to a 105-37 record in her first seven seasons.
In 2013, Wills led the Tigers to a 17-5 overall record including a share of the North Coast Athletic Conference regular season title with a 13-1 conference mark. DePauw then won the NCAC Tournament title for the second straight season and earned a trip to the NCAA Division III Championship. The Tigers dropped a 1-0 overtime game to Catholic in the second round.
The 2012 Dita/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year led DePauw to a 21-2 record and the program's first appearance in the NCAA Division III semifinals. Along the way the Tigers knocked off Utica as well as top-ranked and previously unbeaten Middlebury before falling to eventual champion Tufts.
Wills also was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year following a perfect 14-0 conference record and the conference tournament championship.
She led the Tigers to a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference championship in 2007 and a North Coast Athletic Conference co-championship in 2011. The Tigers finished second in the SCAC in both 2009 and 2010 after losing in overtime in both championship games.
An assistant coach at Washington & Jefferson College during the 2006 season, Wills served as an assistant at Earlham College from 2004-06.
She was the head coach of the Pittsburgh, Pa., site for the USA Field Hockey Futures Program in 2006-07 and in Louisville in 2009-10.
Preston Wills earned a bachelor of arts degree in English from Centre College in 2004. The Louisville, Ky., native was a second team all-region player at Centre while serving as a co-captain. She also was named to the Kentucky Indiana Tennessee (KIT) all-conference and all-tournament teams. Additionally, Preston Wills was a three-year starter and letterwinner for the Colonels' softball team.
