DePauw University

Scott Srnka joined the DePauw University football coaching staff in August of 2011 as the defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach.

Career Highlights

• In September 2012, he was named the program's interim head coach and directed the Tigers to a pair of wins over the final two months of the season.
• During his first season, Srnka's defense held opponents to just under 290 total yards per game, ranking the Tigers 30th in Division III and just 101.9 rushing yards, which was 21st in the nation
• The defense also forced 18 turnovers that first season 
• Prior to DePauw, Srnka was an assistant coach at his alma mater, Rhodes College, since 1993
  • Served as defensive coordinator and coached linebackers, defensive back and kickers
  • Also served as the head strength and conditioning, head men's golf coach and assistant track coach
  • While at Rhodes, Srnka's defense twice finished the season ranked in the top 25 for fewest total yards allowed, including fifth in 2006
• Coached at Urbana University as the defensive coordinator for one season
• Coached quarterbacks, running backs and kickers at Baldwin-Wallace College from 1990-93
  • Also served as an assistant softball coach
• Worked as a graduate assistant football coach while earning his masters at Ohio University 

Academic and Athletics Highlights

• Earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in art from Rhodes College
• Earned a Masters of Science in health promotion and disease prevention from Ohio University  
• Four-year varsity letter winner a strong safety for the Lynx
• He was an All-Conference selection in his junior and senior year seasons
