Colin Johnson

Colin Johnson came to DePauw in 2013 as offensive line coach after holding a similar position at the College of Wooster.

Johnson earned a bachelor of arts degree in exercise science and wellness from Ball State University after earning four letters and serving as co-captain for the Cardinals under current DePauw head coach Bill Lynch.

He was an intern for the football staff in 2003 before competing in the Arena Football League 2 as a member of the Peoria Pirates where he started and played in 11 games and helped lead the Pirates to the 2004 Arena Cup.

Johnson returned to the coaching ranks in 2007 as an offensive and defensive line coach at Zionsville (Ind.) High School before coaching the offensive line at Warren Central (Indiana) High School in the spring of 2008.

He then moved on to Indiana University as a special teams quality control coach and an offensive graduate assistant and rejoined Lynch who was serving as the Hoosiers' head coach. While at Indiana, Johnson worked with National Football League draft selections Rodger Saffold and James Brewer.

Johnson then joined the Butler University staff and coached the defensive tackles for 1989 DePauw graduate and Bulldogs head coach, Jeff Voris. While at Butler, Johnson helped recruit student-athletes in Indiana as well as the east coast. He also coached Grant Hunter who was the Pioneer Football League's all-time sack leader and was an invitee to the Cincinnati Bengals camp.

He then began his stint at Wooster where he coached the offensive line and was responsible for recruiting in Cleveland, northwest Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois.
