Overstreet

Haley Overstreet

Haley Overstreet joined the DePauw University field hockey coaching staff as the assistant coach in March of 2023.

 
  • Prior to DePauw Overstreet served as the Director of Championships for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC), where she oversaw the logistics and aided in the planning of all championship events for the conference’s 24 sponsored sports. 

  • She served as the lead officer working with the conference’s supervisors of officials and ensured proper management of the league’s officiating budget, while also holding a leadership role in the programming for ODAC’s Senior Woman Administrators (SWA) and Student-Athlete Advisor Committee (SAAC).

  • Coordinated with the ODAC’s SWAs to organize and facilitate the 2023 Women in Athletics Symposium that was hosted at Bridgewater College in January of 2023.

  • Overstreet assisted with event management and Special Olympics involvement for DIII NCAA National Championships in Women’s Lacrosse, Softball, and Men’s and Women’s Soccer.

  • Before working at the ODAC Overstreet spent three seasons as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Ferrum’s field hockey program in addition to one season as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2018 season. 

  • In addition to coaching, Overstreet served as an advisor for the Ferrum SAAC and as an office assistant in the Ferrum Sports Information department. While working with the sports information department, her main functions included assisting with game day operations, running live stream production and on-air commentary. 

  • While at Ferrum Overstreet also served as a game day administrator for several sports such as baseball, football, and soccer, and was a contributor towards Ferrum’s efforts as host of the 2019 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships at the Berglund Center in Roanoke.

A native of Roanoke, Overstreet graduated from Ferrum in December 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in health and human performance with an emphasis in exercise and sports studies and a minor in coaching. She completed a Masters of Science degree in sports management and interscholastic athletic administration from West Virginia University in 2021.

Overstreet was a three-sport standout at Ferrum, competing in field hockey, lacrosse, and soccer. She is the only student-athlete in Panthers history to score goals in three sports.
