Game Basics & Logistics
When and where is the 2026 Monon Bell Classic being played?
The game will take place on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Scheumann Stadium on the campus of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:07 PM EST.
Why is the game being played at Ball State instead of DePauw?
DePauw is currently constructing the Blackstock Stadium and Athletics Performance Center, which will open fall 2028. Because the reconstruction requires the complete demolition of Blackstock Stadium, DePauw is hosting its other four 2026 home games on a temporary setup at Nick Mourouzis Field. However, due to the massive historic crowd sizes of the Monon Bell game, a larger venue was required to safely accommodate all fans.
Who is technically the "home" team this year?
DePauw University is the designated home team for the 2026 matchup and will occupy the home side of the stadium, while Wabash College will be the visiting team.
Tickets & Seating
How do I buy tickets, and will they sell out?
Tickets must be purchased in advance through Ticketmaster, the official athletic ticket portal of Ball State University.  Because Scheumann Stadium holds 22,500 people, there will be plenty of seating available, though prime sections will go fast.  We anticipate tickets will be available for sale in September.
How much are tickets?
General admission tickets are $50 each plus Ticketmaster fees.  There may be premium seating available for each fan base; more information to come in September.
How will seating be split between Wabash and DePauw fans?
To preserve the traditional environment, Scheumann Stadium will be strictly divided.  You must purchase a ticket for an assigned area.  Fans will not be able to move to and from each fan zone without a proper ticket.
DePauw Tigers Fan Zone: West Side (Press Box / Home Side) and South End Zone. Enter through Gates 3 and 4.
Wabash Little Giants Fan Zone: East Side (Visitor Side) and North End Zone.  Enter through Gate 1.
Are DePauw and Wabash student tickets free?
Each institution determines how their students will access tickets for this game.  More information will be provided by each institution this fall.

Tailgating & Parking
Will tailgating be allowed at Ball State?
Absolutely. Tailgating is a foundational Monon Bell tradition. Ball State is opening its primary football parking lots surrounding Scheumann Stadium for Monon Bell tailgating.  Information on parking and lot opening will be available in September.
Â
Are there separate tailgating lots for each school?
Yes. To keep school spirits high and logistics organized, specific lots will be allocated for DePauw alumni/fans and Wabash alumni/fans. Maps detailing the exact DePauw and Wabash tailgate zones will be released closer to game day.
Â
What time do the parking lots open?
This information will be shared in September.  There is no overnight parking or tailgating setup will be permitted on Friday night/prior to the parking lots opening.
Can I buy DePauw gear at the game?
Yes.  DePauw gear, though Slingshot LLC, will be available in the DePauw alumni/fans tailgate lot.
Â
Stadium Rules & Broadcast
Does Scheumann Stadium have a clear bag policy?
Yes. It enforces a strict clear bag policy and fans will walk through metal detectors to enter the stadium. Fans may bring in one clear plastic bag no larger than 12" x 6" x 12" or a small clutch purse no larger than 4.5" x 6.5".
Can we buy alcohol inside or outside of the stadium?
No.
Will the game be televised or streamed?
Yes. For those who cannot make the trip to Muncie, the game will be broadcast live on the ISC Sports Network.  Local alumni telecast viewing parties will be finalized and announced by October.
Â
Traditions
Will the Monon Bell itself actually be at the stadium?
Yes! The 300-pound locomotive bell will be safely transported to Muncie and positioned on the field.
