Shelbyville, Ind. - Led by
Patrick McGrail's seventh-place finish, DePauw totaled 82 points and finished third among 12 teams at the Franklin Grizzly Invitational. Rose-Hulman won with 34 points and the Illinois Cross Country Club placed second with 70 points.
McGrail covered the 5,000-meter course in 16:07.3, while
Ian Porter was 13th in 16:21.8 and Jake Gentry 16th in 16:22.9.
Owen Mohler placed 23rd in 16:32.3 followed by Gabe Feltner in 25th (16:34.9),
Ashwin Long in 30th (16:39.0) and
Skylar Simon in 55th (17:03.6).
Christopher Boyd of St. Mary-of-the-Woods won in 15:45.7.
The Tigers return to action on Sept. 19 at the Gil Dodds Invitational in Warrenville, Ill.
