Tigers Shutout Yeowomen 3-0

Oberlin, Ohio - DePauw field hockey shutout Oberlin 3-0 to lengthen winning streak to three, with a 5-1 record.

Junior Ella Harms claimed the first goal of the game at 12:51, giving the Tigers a 1-0 lead in the first quarter. This was Harm's second goal of the season. 

Minutes before halftime, sophomore Hannah Zaiser tallied the second goal for the Tigers, lengthening their lead to 2-0 with an assist delivered by freshman Liza Flower. 

Staying quiet in the third, DePauw wrapped up the game with a final goal in the 59th minute to shutout the Yeowomen 3-0. 

Ellie Lochhead, Sophie Flynn, and Zaiser tallied two shots on goal each, while Harms and Ava Gallagher recorded one each. 

DePauw outshot Oberlin 11-1, 8-0 on goal. Tigers edged Yeowomen 5-2 in penalty corners.

Colby Durbin and Tea Jerro split time between the pipes, facing no shots on goal during the 60 minutes of play.

With the win, DePauw moves to 5-1 overall, while Oberlin drops to 2-2. The Tigers will return to action, Saturday, September 26th at home in Greencastle to host Rhodes at 12 p.m. for a non-conference match up.
