Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw, ranked 26th in Division III, dropped to 13-9 overall and 4-3 in the North Coast Athletic Conference following a 4-3 loss to 33rd-ranked Oberlin. The Yeomen improved to 13-6 overall and 5-2 in league play.
The Tigers swept the doubles matches to earn the doubles point as
Finley Buelte and
William Cramer were 6-2 winners over Shawn Lisann and Cameron Weiss at the first spot with
Will Hutchinson and
Paul Castleman topping Zain Makada and Enrique Margain by a 6-3 score at number two. The third doubles duo of
Scott Anderson and
Thomas Hargreave were 7-6 (7-0) winners over Dash Smith and Sebastien Naginski.
DePauw picked up wins at first and fourth singles as Buelte defeated Smith 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 and
Viktor Ronnberg topped Margain 6-4, 7-5
The match was even at 3-3 before Lisann battled back for a 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over Anderson at second singles to clinch the win.
DePauw hosts Hanover at 9 a.m. tomorrow and concludes NCAC regular season play against Wooster at 1 p.m.
