Memphis, Tenn. - The Tigers moved to 4-4 on the season after splitting their two matches over the weekend.Â
On Saturday, DePauw opened with a 4-1 win over Rhodes before falling to 28th-ranked North Carolina Wesleyan by a 4-2 count. The Tigers also blanked Hendrix in an exhibition match on Sunday.
In the win over Rhodes, the Tigers won the doubles point after winning at the first and third spots.
Finley Buelte and
William Cramer were 6-3 winners over Oliver Bonovich and Christian Mainella at number one with
Scott Anderson and
Thomas Hargreave taking a 7-6 (7-4) victory over Owen Fellrath and Topher Thornberry at number three.
Buelte topped Bonovich at first singles 6-4, 6-4, with Anderson winning over Mainella 7-5, 6-4 at the second position.
Will Hutchinson won at fifth singles by a 6-1, 6-2 count over Thornberry.
Against North Carolina Wesleyan, DePauw won the doubles point as Buelte and Cramer defeated Albert Sitwell and Diego Villafane by a 6-2 score at number one and the number-two tandem of Hutchinson and
Paul Castleman topped Adam Singleton and Ben Russell by a 6-2 score.
Cramer picked up the Tigers' other point with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Joey Govenlock at sixth singles.
The Tigers travel to John Carroll for a 3 p.m. NCAC match on Saturday, March 14.
