Greencastle, Ind. - The DePauw women's cross country team was among 111 Division III programs to earn All-Academic Team honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period. The Tigers posted a 3.53 fall semester team grade point average.
Grace Flores (Jr., Boerne,Tex./Boerne-Samuel V. Champion), Amzie Maienbrook (Sr., Rensselaer/Rensselaer Central), Morgan Tharp (Sr., McCordsville, Ind./Mt. Vernon), Grace Thomas (Jr., Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso), Meghan Zopel (Fr., Dunlap, Ill./Peoria Notre Dame) were among 210 Division III women to garner USTFCCA All-Academic Athlete accolades.
Qualifiers for All-Academic distinction must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
