DePauw Tops Augustana

Hilton Head Island, S.C. - In its first match of its spring break trip, DePauw topped Augustana (Ill.) by a 5-2 score. The Tigers improved to 5-8, while the Vikings dropped to 5-6.

Augustana won the doubles point with DePauw's lone win coming at the third spot where Katie King and Ayden Zinkovich topped Natasha Gauerke and Maitreyi Shrikhande by a 6-3 score.

DePauw won five of the six singles matches as Elle Loch was a 6-3, 6-3 winner over Maripaz Ramirez at the second position and Valerie Doherty topped Colleen Larrry at the third slot by a 1-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-4) score.

At fourth singles, Briah O'Neal was a 6-2, 6-2 victor over Maddy Harned with Allie Stamm defeating Sofia Carr at number-five 6-0, 6-0.  Abby Short was a 6-3, 6-3 winner over Kassidy Anderson at sixth singles.

DePauw faces Carleton tomorrow at 12:30 p.m.
