Memphis, Tenn. -Â DePauw women's soccer fell 3-0 to nationally ranked Rhodes on Saturday afternoon at Rhodes Soccer Field.
Rhodes set the tone early, with Maddie Carter striking in the third minute off an assist from Sophia Rall. Carter doubled the Lynx lead in the 10th minute, once again connecting with Rall to give Rhodes a 2-0 advantage that held through halftime.
The Tigers battled to get on the board, registering four shots with two on target, but were held scoreless by a stingy Rhodes defense. Goalkeeper Aubree Empie kept DePauw within reach in the first half, recording seven saves before finishing with eight overall.
In the 65th minute, Rhodes added insurance when Ellie Lawrence finished a chance to make it 3-0. The Lynx closed out the match to remain unbeaten on the year at 7-0-1, while DePauw dropped to 4-2-1.
DePauw will look to regroup as they head into conference play next week.
