Granville, Ohio - Third-seed DePauw finished its season at 16-8 following a 5-0 loss to second-seed and 13th-ranked Kenyon at the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Tournament. Kenyon improved to 18-4 and will face top-seed Denison in tomorrow's championship match.
The Owls picked up the doubles point as the third tandem of Gianluca Bocanegra and Rishil Kondapaneni defeated DePauw's
Diego Marquez and
Jake Louiselle by a 6-3 score. Kenyon's second doubles team of Josh Finkle and Eric Zhang topped Scot Anderson and
Roee Sela, 6-4.
In singles, Juozas Cioladis was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over
Will Cramer at the fourth spot before Anderson defeated Alejandro Gonzalez 6-2, 6-0 at number two.
Kondapaneni then won by a 6-1, 6-1 score over
Samuele Pia at third singles and Paulo Pocasangre came back for a 1-6, 7-6 (11-9), 1-0 (10-5) win at first singles over
Finley Buelte.
