Columbus, Ind. - DePauw shot an opening-round 312 and is nine strokes behind Denison after the first of three rounds of the North Coast Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships at Otter Creek Golf Course.
Becky Williams shot an even-par 72 and trails Denison's Isabella Dolan by one stroke. Williams' opening round included five birdies.
Emma Pasawat and
Ashley Long each shot 78 and are tied for fourth. Pasawat carded four birdies with Long finishing with one.
Arika Wichramasinha is tied for 13th at 84 and
Sophia Stutz is tied for 15th with an 85.
Second round play begins tomorrow morning.
