Columbus, Ind. - DePauw shot an opening-round 297 and is in fifth place after the first of three rounds of the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championships at Otter Creek Golf Course. Kenyon and Wittenberg are tied at 284 followed by Wabash at 288 and Denison with a 293.
Manuel Loring paced DePauw with an even-par 72 to tie for 10th.His round included two birdies and one eagle.Â
Max Brown and
Willey Davis each shot 74 to tie for 13th. Davis totaled three birdies and Brown had two.Â
Joe Murdock is in 31st with a 77 and
Ian Perry in 35th at 81.Murdock finished the round with two birdies and Perry had one.
Wabash's Sean Bledsoe and Denison's Jack Yurosek each shot a three-under 69 to lead the field.
Second-round action begins tomorrow morning.
