Williamsburg, Va. - On a day that included a weather delay of nearly five hours,
Becky Williams (Jr., Zionsville, Ind./University High School of Indiana) completed her opening round of the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships before darkness suspended play and shot a five-over, 77, on the River Course of the Kingsmill Resort.
Williams started the morning on the 10th tee and completed two holes before the delay and was one-over before returning to the course in the afternoon. She was four-over on the first nine holes before playing the final nine at one-over. Her round included three birdies on par fives.
The teams and individuals will conclude the opening round tomorrow morning before the second round follows.
