Joliet, Ill. - Sophie Porter and Kendall Mann competed in the St. Francis Fighting Chance Meet.
Porter, finished eighth in the 5,000-meters with a time of 17:08.54, placing her 49th on the Division III qualifying list. Porter shaved nearly a minute off of her 2nd place time the previous weekend (18:05.17) at the NCAC Outdoor Championships. She is currently ranked 16th in the country for the 10,000-meters (35:31.67).
Mann finished 18th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:40.99. Currently she is ranked 29th in the country with her time set at the NCAC Championships (10:55.68).
Declaration period for the NCAA Championships ends Saturday, May 17th with final qualifiers occurring Sunday at Noon.
