Katie Moore Finishes 7th in the Heptathlon at Gibson Invite

Terre Haute, Ind. - Katie Moore competed at the Gibson Invitational hosted by Indiana State, finishing 7th in the women's heptathlon. 

The senior posted a personal-best 4,565 points in the heptathlon and finished 7th out of 32, including five who did not finish. By breaking her own third place record on the women's outdoor top ten list, she claims the 8th spot on the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Qualifying List, according to TFRRS. 

Moore opened the competition with 860 points in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.86 seconds, finishing 9th. She then totaled 644 in the high jump with a best jump of 1.52 meters, finishing 12th. 

In the shot put, she tallied 480 points with a mark of 9.24 meters, finishing 19th, before garnering 592 points in the long jump at 5.12 meters with a 16th-place showing. She wrapped up the competition with 531 points in the javelin throw with a mark of 32.85 meter, finishing 8th. 

For the 800-meter run, Moore totaled 731 points and crossed the line in fifth place. In the 200-meter dash, she gained 727 points while finishing 18th. 

In addition to the heptathlon, Moore is currently ranked 15th in qualifying times for the 400-meter hurdles at 1:03.07. 

DePauw will return to action at the Wilmington Invite on Saturday, April 26th in Ohio.
