Tigers Compete at Illinois Wesleyan; Kochert Breaks Triple Jump Record

Bloomington, Ill. - DePauw competed at Illinois Wesleyan's DIII Select meet and Tessa Kochert highlighted the Tigers' performances with a program record in the triple jump.

Last week Kochert tied the mark of 11.12 meters held by Shaneka Terrell since 2003 and broke it today with a leap of 11.18 (36-8.25) which was good for a second-place finish. Kochert was also third in the long jump at 5.33 (17-6).

Katie Moore posted three top-10 finishes including placing sixth in the 60-meter hurdles (9.28), eighth in the long jump (5.08/16-8) and 10th in the high jump (1.50/4-11). Liberty Scott finished fourth in the 60 hurdles in 9.05 seconds.

Shelby Stall was ninth in the 200 meters (26.12), while Morgan Tharp was seventh in the mile (5:15.03). A pair of Tigers placed in the top nine in the 3000 meters including Kendall Mann in seventh (10:32.30) and Grace Thomas ninth (10:39.68).

The Tigers' 4x400 relay was sixth in 4:06.38.

DePauw returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 15, when it hosts the DePauw Invitational at 11 a.m.
