Terre Haute, Ind.- The DePauw University men's track and field team opened the new year on a high note, finishing second at the Rose-Hulman Friday Night Spikes meet. The Tigers totaled 41 points across the evening and tallied 11 top-three and 18 top-five finishes.Â

In the prelims of the 60m dash, junior
Grant Hunt ran a 6.97, breaking a decade-old program record previously held by Josh Ebikwo, who ran it in 7.02 in 2015. The Tigers'
Colin O'Malley,
Ian Ross, and
Casey Rustman all took first place in their respective events, pacing DePauw to its second-place finish. O'Malley finished first in the 60m with a time of 7.05, Ross led an event sweep in the 800m run with a time of 2:01.74, and Rustman ran an 8.75 in the 60m hurdles for his first-place finish.
