Greencastle, Ind. - In voting by the conference's coaches, four Tigers have been chosen to the all-North Coast Athletic Conference baseball team with one earning a top honor.
Michael Vallone (Sr., Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) was voted the league's Pitcher of the Year after posting a 7-0 record with a 1.83 earned run average prior to the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament. In 11 appearances including eight starts, Vallone struck out 76 and walked just 15 in 54.0 innings. Opposing hitters batted .171 against him. Vallone was a first team all-NCAC selection in 2021 and 2022, a second team choice in 2023 and the Newcomer of the Year in 2021.
A pair of Tigers were named to the second team including catcher
Hunter Hrbek (Jr., Plainfield, Ind./Plainfield) and outfielder
Danny Glimco (Sr., Western Springs, Ill./Benet Academy). During the regular season, Hrbek hit .296 with three homers and 25 RBI and threw out 12 runners attempting to steal. Prior to the conference tournament, Glimco batted .272 and shared the team lead with five homers while driving in a team-high 38. He was a second team all-NCAC honoree in 2023 and honorable mention in 2022.
Third baseman
Grady Johnson (Fr., Lexington, Ky./Sayre) was chosen to the third team. In the regular season hie hit .394 with a team-high 61 hits which was a program best for a freshman. Johnson drove in 27 runs and scored 33.
