Katie Mathies (Jr., Shelbyville, Ind./Shelbyville) has been selected North Coast Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week for her performances at last weekend's Illinois Wesleyan Softball Tournament.
In the three total games, Mathies batted .727 (8-for-11) with six RBI and five doubles. In Saturday's two games alone, she went 7-for-7 with five RBI and five doubles.
For the season, Mathies is batting .384 with 22 RBI, 10 double and three homers.
The Tigers open NCAC play at home on Wednesday, April 10, with a 4 p.m. doubleheader against Ohio Wesleyan.
