St. Louis, Mo.-The DePauw women's outdoor track and field team finished its Spring Break weekend meet at Washington University in St. Louis with three program records broken, multiple career bests, and a fifth-place finish on day three.
Competing in the WashU Distance Carnival,
Sophie Porter kicked off the weekend, finishing twelfth in the 10,000m run with a time of 35:36.75. Porter's time broke the 14-year program record of 37:30.30, set by Ellen Mail in 2010. Running in the WashU Invite, first-year
Shelby Stall ran the 400m dash in 57.78, breaking previous record holder Erin Pasch's time of 58.24, set in 2022.
The Tigers' final record-breaking performance came in the weekend's final event. DePauw's Stall,
Katie Moore,
Liberty Scott, and
Annalise Grammel ran the 4x400m relay in 3:57.30, which broke the previous record of 3:58.12. The Tigers finished the weekend with 14 top-fifteen finishers, with five of the fourteen finishing in the top five.
DePauw travels to Crawfordsville, Ind. on Saturday, April 6, for the Huntsman Family Invitational. The invitational is set to start at 10:30 a.m.
