DePauw Women Finish Second While Recording a Program Best at NCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships

Gambier, Ohio-  The DePauw women's indoor track and field team totaled a program record 162 points to take second place at the 2024 North Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships. Wittenberg finished first with 191.5 points, and Oberlin finished third with 81.5.

DePauw junior Lily Monnett helped pace the Tigers throughout the weekend with two individual All-NCAC performances and one relay All-conference finish, earning her Mid/Distance Athlete of the Year. Monnett joins 2022 graduate Erin Pasch as just one of two DePauw student-athletes to earn an NCAC Athlete of the Year honor for indoor track and field. She took first in the one-mile run (5:15.44) , finished second in the 3000m (10:26.65), and ran the final leg of the first-place distance medley relay team with Emma Jacobs, Aubrey Asdell, and Ava Knight

Monnett wasn't the only Tiger to earn multiple All-NCAC finishes; Annalise Grammel, Katie Moore, Sophie Porter, and Shelby Stall each recorded at least two all-conference performances. In total, DePauw had 30 top-ten finishes, with half of them notched as All-NCAC finishes.

Amongst the all-conference performances, the Tigers also broke two program records in the 4x200 relay and in the 4x400 relay. In the 4x200 relay, Moore, Grammel, Elizabeth Raborn, and Stall finished first with a time of 1:46.13, breaking the previous record held by Grammel, Seelye Stoffregen, Charlotte Borland, and Pasch. To wrap up the championship weekend, Moore, Liberty Scott, Grammel, and Stall ran the 4x400 relay in 4:01.29, beating the previous record set in 2022 by Grammel, Alexis Cagan, Stoffregen, and Pasch (4:03.45).
