Gambier, Ohio- The DePauw women's track and field team sits in second place with 47 points following the first day of the 2024 North Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.
The Tigers recorded three All-NCAC performances in three different events and totaled nine top-ten final finishes across the first day of the Championships. Senior
Emma Stemen earned DePauw's first all-conference performance after finishing second in pole vault with a height of 3.24m.
Pacing DePauw in the 5000m run and earning all-conference honors was
Sophie Porter, who claimed the top time (17:47.69) for the second consecutive year, shaving almost 20 seconds off her time from last year.
Grace Thomas finished with a time of 18:22.89 for fifth, followed by
Grace Flores in seventh (18:32.68),
Kendall Mann in eighth (18:45.20), and
Amzie Maienbrook in ninth with a time of 18:54.34.
The Tigers claimed its final all-conference performance in the distance medley when
Emma Jacobs,
Aubrey Asdell,
Ava Knight, and
Lily Monnett finished in first place with a time of 12:29.30.
Katie Moore and
Lily Vaught earned the remaining two top-ten final finishes of the day for the Tigers. Moore finished seventh in long jump with a distance of 5.01m, and Vaught took seventh in pole vault with a height of 2.94m.
