Tigers Jump to Sixth Place After Day Two of NCAC Championships

Granville, Ohio- The DePauw men's swimming team moved up to places and sits in sixth place with 242 points after two days of the NCAC Swimming and Diving Championships. Host Denison pulled away and led the competition with 677 points, followed by Kenyon with 632. Wabash drops to third with 403 points, while the College of Wooster has 381, and Oberlin recorded 327 points after two days of competition.
 
James Shorney was the lone individual top-ten finisher, finishing 10th in the B-cut 50 Free with a time of 21.00. Shorney also swam the third leg of the 400 Medley Relay; he, along with Jeremy Stutzman, Robbie Sheffield, and Brock Kinnamon, finished in sixth with a time of 3:28.72. The Tigers quadrupled their score between day one and two and totaled nine top-twenty finishes. 
 
DePauw takes to the pool deck again Friday, February 16, at 9:30 a.m. for prelim races in the following races: 
  • 100 Fly
  • 400 IM
  • 200 Free
  • 100 Breast
  • 100 Back
  • 200 Free Relay
