Gambier, Ohio - DePauw wrapped up North Coast Athletic Conference regular season play with a 3-0 (26-24, 25-16, 25-21) win at Kenyon to finish conference play at 5-2 and improve to 16-9 overall. The Owls dropped to 7-20 overall and 1-6 in NCAC play. DePauw earned the number-three seed in the conference and will host Oberlin in an NCAC Tournament quarterfinal match on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at a time to be determined.
In today's match,
Olivia Karwin led the Tigers with 11 kills and assisted on 16, while
Kendall Herrick led the way with 19 assists.
Grace Myers had team highs of two aces and 16 digs and
Kerry O'Connor totaled three blocks.
Aura Barinas and Olivia Gumz each had nine kills for the Owls with Hannah Schwemm assisting on 25. Lauren Blakemore finished with team highs of three aces and 15 digs and Mariyah Rumpca-Veronese led with four blocks.
DePauw outhit Kenyon, .258-.091, and held a 43-33 edge in kills. Kenyon led in aces, 9-6, with the Tigers holding a narrow 55-53 advantage in digs.
DePauw travels to St. Louis on Saturday, Nov. 9, where it will face WashU at 10:30 a.m. CST and Millikin at 1 p.m. CST.
