Lisle, Ill. - DePauw wrapped up play at the Benedictine (Ill.) Eagles Classic with a pair of losses as the Tigers fell to the hosts 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-22) before dropping a 3-1 (25-23, 25-13, 16-25, 25-15) match to Loras. The Tigers are 0-3 on the season.
In the Benedictine match, the Eagles outhit the Tigers, .229-171 and had a 37-32 edge in kills. Benedictine also recorded nine aces to the Tigers' three.
Katie Gansle led DePauw with 12 kills, while
Olivia Karwin had 14 assists. Gansle and
Kerry O'Connor each finished with two block assists with
Grace Myers leading with 12 digs.
Olivia McPherson paced the hosts ith 11 kills with Kiara McPherson adding 27 assists. Courtney Levy finished with a match-high 17 digs.
Against Loras, the Duhawks outhit DePauw, .154-.083 and led in kills, 47-36. Loras totaled 13 service aces to the Tigers' four with DePauw totaling 12 block assists to Loras' eight.
Karwin paced DePauw with nine kills and three aces with
Anna Lervick totaling 17 assists.
Lauren Ridgway led the defensive effort with five block assists and
Grace Myers finished with a match-high 21 digs.
Patrycja Jarzabek led Loras with 10 kills and Sara Hoskins had 33 assists and 18 digs. Sophie Younkin led with four aces.
