In the opener, Cheyenne Anderson's solo homer in the top of the first gave the guests a 1-0 lead, but DePauw's Drew Bratcher singled home Hanna Coffel with Abby Pyburn also coming home after an error on the play.

Illinois College's Lizzie Snow scored on a wild pitch in the top of the second to knot the score at 2-2 and it stayed that way until the bottom of the third when Katie Mathies doubled home Pyburn and Yasmin McClellan scored when Riley Heim hit into a double play after interference was called at second base.

Ashtyn Barnett's leadoff homer in the bottom of the fourth pushed the DePauw lead to 5-2 before Pyburn singled home Macey Cox and Mathies plated two with a double. Heim's single scored Ella Ohrvall before Madi Lockridge came home after a failed pickoff attempt at third. Emily DuMais' single brought home Heim to make it 11-2.

In the nightcap, Lily Jennings scored from third in the second after Drew Bratcher was caught in a rundown between first and second. McClellan later stole home to make it 2-0.

Hagene scored from third when the Tigers tried to make a play on the runner at second in the top of the third. The Lady Blues evened the score in the top of the third on Chaddam Crosier's solo homer.

DePauw regained the lead in the fifth as Kelsey Bernhard singled home Ohrvall before Bratcher doubled, scoring Bernhard. Emily Minett's single scored Chelsea Campagna and Pyburn's base hit brought home Minett. Heim made it 9-2 with a three-run double.
