Delaware, Ohio- The DePauw men's track and field team finished in fifth place after totaling 105 points across the two-day North Coast Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Denison won with 162 points, followed by Wabash with 129.Â

Grant Hunt led the way for the Tigers earning NCAC Newcomer of the Year after two All-NCAC performances, taking first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.91 and finishing the 100-meter dash in 10.88 for third place. Senior
Ford Baker earned the men's NCAC Middle Distance/Distance Runner of the Year in his final conference championship. Baker tacked on a second All-NCAC performance in the 5000-meter run with a time of 14:56.99, earning him a second-place finish.

Daniel Jansen finished day two of the conference championships with a second-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles (14.99) and, in high jump, cleared a height of 1.96m for second. DePauw's

Colin O'Malley, and
Ayo Laleye earned the Tigers' final All-NCAC performance after finishing third in the 4x100 with a time of 42.20.

DePauw tacked on four more top-five finishes, with
Matt Rowley finishing fourth in the 1500-meter run with a time of 3:58.54, and
Matt Vennemann ran the 5000-meter run in 15:23.60 for fifth place. In the 4x400, DePauw Jansen, Alsum, Hunt, and O'Malley finished fifth (3:20.77), and in the field events,
Garrett Elkins came in fifth in the high jump after clearing a height of 1.90m.

DePauw completed the NCAC Championships with nine All-NCAC performances and will travel to the University of St. Francis (Ill.) next Friday and Saturday, May 12-13, to compete in the Last Chance Meet.Â
