Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw improved to 4-3 and recorded the second shutout in program history and first since 2015 with a 16-0 win over visiting Earlham. The Quakers dropped to 3-5.
Eli Federman put the Tigers on the board with 7:52 left in the first as DePauw grabbed a 3-0 lead after one period of play. DePauw added nine in the second, three in the third and one in the fourth for the final margin of victory.
Connor Gibson paced DePauw with six goals with
Jack Flynn adding four and
Henry White three. White paced the squad with seven assists followed by Flynn and Federman with three each.
Anthony Reinhardt and
Turner Keck shared the shutout as Reinahrdt recorded one save and Keck two. Earlham's Emmitt Shaughnessy stopped 17 DePauw shots.
DePauw outshot Earlham, 62-6, including 33-3 on goal. The Tigers held a 56-18 edge in ground balls as
Jack Kneisley totaled 14 for DePauw and Donovan Shea paced the Quakers with six. Kneisley won 16 of the 19 faceoffs in the win.
DePauw was successful on all 18 clear situations and had 17 turnovers to Earlham's 32. The Tigers'
Matthew Garrigan caused five turnovers and Earlham's Shea caused three.
