Box Score 2 Terre Haute, Ind.-Â The Tigers closed out its weekend in Terre Haute, losing to the No. 26 Denison University Big Red and No.18 Washington University and St. Louis Bears, 9-0, moving to 1-7 for the season, and 0-1 in NCAC play. The Big Red improved to 2-2 overall, while WashU jumped to 6-0 for the season.

The DePauw women's tennis team battled throughout the matchup despite falling to the Big Red 9-0. In doubles play, Denison's Sydney Cianciola and Sarah Robertson defeated
Kiley Shaw and
Sonal Matta 8-5 on court one. On court three, the Big Red's Peyton Oda and Elizabeth Hoo beat
Alex Preston and
Valerie Doherty 8-5. The final doubles matchup to wrap up was on court two, where Kendall Schrader and Caroline Lopez of Denison defeated
Kat Wilder and
Ellen Gardner 8-4.

Up 3-0, Denison didn't have an easy road to nine in singles play. The Big Red's Oda beat wilder 6-3, 6-0 on court three to extend its lead to four. On court four, Lopez defeated
Valerie Doherty 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) followed by Cianciola winning on court one after defeating Gardner 4-6, 6-1, 6-1. On court two, Robertson beat Matta 7-5, 7-5, while teammate Hoo won her match 3-6, 6-2,6-1 against DePauw's Shaw. Denison's final morning win was on court six when Hannah Quick beat
Bella DeNardo 6-1, 6-3.

DePauw completed its weekend in Terre Haute with a final matchup against WashU.

The Tigers continued to fight while facing the No. 18 Bears. WashU's Eliana Hanna and Amber Edmonds defeated Shaw and Matta 8-3 on court one in doubles. On court two, Preston and Doherty fell to Ainsley Heidbreder and Nina Moravek 8-3. Completing the doubles sweep for the Bears were Maggie Yang and Carolyn Tsung who beat DeNardo and Gardner 8-4 on court three.

In singles play, WashU dominated. On court four, the Bears' Hallie Jeffers beat Shaw 6-0, 6-0, and Randi Hendricks defeated DePauw's
Abby Short 6-0, 6-1 on court six. In the remaining matches, Moravek beat Gardner 6-2, 6-3 on court one, Sophia Huynh beat Matta 6-2, 6-2 on court two; the Bears' Tsung won their match over Doherty 6-1, 6-0 on court three, and DePauw's DeNardo fell to Natalie Muldowney 6-1, 6-3.
