DePauw Men Sit in Third After Day One of NCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships

Greencastle, Ind.- The DePauw men's track and field team is in third place with 39 points after the first day of the North Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.
 
The Tigers recorded four All-NCAC performances in four different events, with senior Ford Baker leading DePauw in points with his first-place finish in the 5000-meter run, finishing with a time of 14:55.08. Carson Watson earned second in long jump with a distance of 6.50m (21-4), while Bennett DeCoursey finished third in shot put with a distance of 14.86 (48-2). Rounding out all-conference performances were Jack Rutstein, Daniel Jansen, Henry Streib, and Bailey Scott, who finished third in the distance medley with a time of 10:36.60.
 
DePauw notched one more top-ten finish throughout the first day of competition. Matt Vennemann finished fourth in the 5000-meter run with a time of 15:16.24.
 
Heading into day two of the NCAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, the Tigers will be competing in the following finals:

Day two of the Championships wraps up on Saturday, with the first events starting at 10 a.m. EST.
