Birmingham, Ala. - DePauw committed six errors and only four of Webster's runs were earned as the 13th-ranked Gorloks handed the Tigers a 16-5 loss in a game played at Birmingham-Southern.
Webster jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first and extended it to 6-0 in the fourth. The Tigers reached the board in the bottom of the fourth as
Carter Knoll led off with a single before
Cameron Macon walked.
Nate Curtis then drove home Knoll with a base hit.
The Gorloks tacked on two more in the fifth, five in the seventh and three in the eighth.Â
DePauw scored four in the bottom of the ninth as Luis Florida led off with a walk and moved to third on
Eli Bell's double.
Nate Hulen reached on a fielder's choice that allowed Florida to score after the catcher dropped the throw from third.

Knoll had two of DePauw's seven hits, while Parker Wielt had two of Webster's eight hits.
Danny Glimco dropped to 0-1, while Alek Egles improved to 1-0.
