Box Score Chicago, Ill.- The DePauw women's tennis team fell to No. 2 University of Chicago 9-0, dropping to 1-2 overall, while the Maroons' improved to 2-0.
 
UChicago took a commanding lead over DePauw after sweeping doubles play. On court three, the Maroons' Nicole Gellar and Lauren Khou beat Franny Werner and Valerie Doherty 8-1. UChicago's Perene Wang and Claudia Ng defeated Kat Wilder and Ellen Gardner 8-1 on court two, and on court one, Shianna Guo and Sylwia Mikos beat Kiley Shaw and Sonal Matta 8-2.
 
Down 3-0, the Tigers couldn't stifle the No. 2 Maroon's dominance. UChicago's Mikos defeated Garner 6-0, 6-0 on court one, and on court two, Guo beat Matta 6-0, 6-0, as well. Brook Pedersen of UChicago defeated Werner 6-0, 6-1 on court five, while Khou bested Shaw 6-2, 6-0 on court six.
 
On court three, Gellar beat Wilder  6-2, 6-0 on court three, and on court four, Ng defeated Doherty 6-0, 6-1 on court four.
 
The Tigers return home on Monday, February 20, to host the Indiana Wesleyan University Wildcats at 4:30 pm EST.
