Granville, Ohio- The DePauw men's swimming team totaled 998 points and finished fifth at the North Coast Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships. Kenyon won with 2,029.5 points, while Denison finished second with 1,912.5. Wooster took third with 1,124.5, while Wabash finished with 1,114.5 for fourth.

At the start of the day in the 100 freestyle prelims, senior
Ben Hilfinger swam a 44.53, which qualified for an NCAA "B" cut time and is a new program record for the Tigers.

In the finals, DePauw's
Braden Mallery finished 10th in the 1,650 free with a time of 16.51.03, shaving off about nine seconds from last year's finish.
Michael Ray finished eighth in the 100 IM after swimming it in 53.63 seconds.

Nathan Turner swam a 1:55.51 in the 200 back to take sixth, while Hilfinger finished in fourth in the 100 free with a time of 44.79, an NCAA B cut time, and teammate
James Shorney came in seventh in the 100 free with a time of 45.93.

In the 200 fly
Brock Kinnamon tied for 10th in the "B" final with a time of 1:56.28. Swimming the third leg in the 400 free relay Kinnamon along with Shorney, Ray, and Hilfinger, earned third with a time of 3:02.43 for third place.
