Greencastle, Ind. - Fourth-seed Denison scored a pair of second-half goals and blanked third-seed DePauw, 2-0, in the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament championship game. DePauw finished its season at 11-4-5, while the Big Red advance to the NCAA Division III postseason with an 8-4-6 record.
The teams fought through a scoreless first half as Denison held a 4-2 advantage in shots with DePauw firing two on goal to the Big Red's one.
Denison's first goal came on Mara McGlone's free kick at 65:06 after a handball was called on DePauw just outside the box. Callie Davis delivered the final goal with 1:34 left on a shot from just beyond the box that slid underneath the cross bar on the left side.
Denison outshot DePauw, 15-8, including 7-4 in shots on target.
Aubree Empie recorded five saves for DePauw, while Molly Noga totaled four for the Big Red. The Big Red also held a 4-1 advantage in corners.
