Greencastle, Ind. - Top-seed DePauw moved to 16-12 on the season and advanced to the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament championship match following a 3-0 (25-10, 25-9, 25-11) semifinal win over visiting and fourth-seed Hiram. The Terriers finished the season with a 9-19 record. The Tigers will face Wittenberg in tomorrow's 2 p.m. match after Wittenberg topped second-seed Ohio Wesleyan 3-1 (25-12, 29-31, 25-23, 25-22).
DePauw hit a season-high .442 to Hiram's .075 as
Katie Gansle led the Tigers with 12 kills and
Ashley Haas followed with 11.
Kendall Herrick led DePauw with 20 assists.
Cate Maguire paced the Terriers with seven kills and Brooke Fishback had seven assists.
Maria Stevens had five of DePauw's nine aces, while Brooke Norris had one for Hiram.
Haas had one block for DePauw and
Grace Myers totaled 16 digs. Karissa Zelenak had one block for Hiram and Norris led with 13 digs.
