Oberlin, Ohio - DePauw grabbed the lead with an early goal and then added two more midway through the second half on the way to a 3-0 North Coast Athletic Conference win at Oberlin. The Tigers moved to 5-5-3 overall and 1-1-2 in the NCAC, while Oberlin dropped to 2-6-5 overall and 0-2-2 in conference play.
The Tigers reached the scoreboard at 14:36 when
Tye Williams took a pass from
Alex Backhaus in the box and found the left side of the goal.
Williams then fed
Chase Brieger at 69:09 to make it 2-0 before
Sam Thiel worked his way around a defender and added an unassisted goal at 73:48.
DePauw held a commanding 25-5 lead in shots including 12-3 on goal. The Tigers led in corners, 4-3.
Alexander Lundin recorded the shutout in goal for the Tigers and recorded three saves. Colvin Iorio finished with nine saves for Oberlin.
DePauw hosts Denison on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 4 p.m.
