Tigers Drop Two on Opening Day of Ohio Northern Invitational

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Ada, Ohio - DePauw dropped to 5-5 on the season after losing both matches on the first day of the Ohio Northern Invitational. The Tigers opened the day with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-13, 25-8) loss to Ohio Northern before falling to Wisconsin-Oshkosh 3-1 (25-12, 25-15, 21-25, 25-19).

Against Ohio Northern, Ashley Haas led the Tigers with seven kills, while Avery Christy assisted on 11 of the team's 22 kills. Grace Myers paced the defensive effort with eight digs, while Lauren Ridgway finished with three blocks.

Sonia Dahlin led the Polar Bears with nine kills as the hosts hit .455 for the match. Grace Conrad assisted on 27 of the team's 42 kills. Rachel Jennings and Grace Irmer each finished with three of Ohio Northern's 12 aces and Jennings finished with 11 digs. Dahlin totaled five blocks in the win.

In the match against Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Olivia Karwin paced the Tigers with nine kills and 18 assists. Grace Myers led DePauw with 20 digs and Haas had fou blocks.

Riley Kindt led the Titans with 11 kills and Amelia Hust had five aces. Kindt's four blocks led the way, while Abby Gregien totaled 21 digs.

DePauw wraps up play in the tournament tomorrow with a 10 a.m. match against Heidelberg.
