Greencastle, Ind. - Four DePauw players have been selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region VII team including three on the first team.
Pitcher Cami Henry (Sr., Camby, Ind./Mooresville), third baseman Drew Bratcher (Reelsville, Ind./South Putnam) and shortstop Grace Smith (Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville) were chosen to the first team with catcher Paige Price (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) selected to the third team.
Henry posted a 26-7 record in the circle for the Tigers with a 1.15 earned run average and struck out a DePauw-record 263 in 189.0 innings. She recorded two saves with four shutouts. The honor is the third in as many years for Henry who was a first team NFCA all-America selection last year.
Bratcher hit .345 for the Tigers and led the squad with nine homers and 36 RBI and also drew a team-high 16 walks.
Smith led the Tigers in batting average (.421), hits (59), runs (37), doubles (11) and slugging (.679) and was tied for the team lead with two triples. She was second with seven homers and 15 stolen bases and tied for second with 31 RBI.
Price batted .391 and also drove in 31 while sharing the team lead with two triples.
The Tigers finished the season with a 35-11 record, a North Coast Athletic Conference title as well as an NCAA regional appearance.
