Terre Haute, Ind. - Totaling 143 points at the Rose-Hulman Twilight Meet, the DePauw women's track and field team finished second out of eight teams.
The Tigers had a top-ten finisher in 15 events, with 13 individuals finishing in the top three. Charlotte Borland earned DePauw's first top-three finish after running the 200-meter dash in 27.28 for third. In the distance events, the Tigers dominated. Annalise Grammel finished first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:20.28, followed by Rachel DeLancey, who took third after running the 800-meter run in 2:27.84.
DePauw swept the top-four spots in the 1,500-meter run. Emma Jacobs finished first in 5:01.43, DeLancey took second with a time of 5:04.47, followed by Lily Monnett (5:06.59) for third, and Lannea Allen at 5:07.46 for fourth. In the 3,000-meter run, Sophie Porter (10:49.18) finished second, while teammate Meredith Sierpina (10:54.90) took third. Kendall Mann (11:58.92) and Jenny Noll (12:08.25) earned first and second, respectively, in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
In the 4x100 meter relay, Jaida Smith, Lillian Boston, Alexis Cagan, and Borland ran a 50.73 for third place. Borland, Grammel, Cagan, and Jacobs would win first in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:09.13.
The Tigers continued to find success in field events, with Abby Hartman earning second in high jump, with a height of 1.50m. In pole vault, Emma Stemen took second with a height of 3.20m, and rounding out DePauw's second-place finishes was Erin Pasch, who jumped 5.20m for second in long jump.
The next meet for the Tigers is the Gina Relays on Thursday, April 28, at Hillsdale College.
