Terre Haute, Ind.- The DePauw men's track and field team finished fourth at the Rose-Hulman Twilight Meet with 75 points after placing in the top ten in nine events.
DePauw completed the meet with six top-three finishes, two of which were first-place finishes. Michael Ocasek ran the 800-meter run in 1:52.93, beating the next closest finisher by four seconds to take first. Bennett DeCoursey would earn the Tigers' second first-place finish in discus after recording a 46.54m throw.
Three team members earned second-place finishes in today's twilight meet. Garrett Elkins tied for second place in high jump with a jump of 1.90m. Thomas Brelage's 10:00.41 3000-meter steeplechase time earned him a second-place finish, while Hudson Alden earned second in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:03.62. Alex Hlade earned DePauw's lone third-place finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:00.52.
The Tigers travel to Hillsdale College on Thursday, April 28, to compete in the Gina Relays.
