Greencastle, Ind.- The DePauw women's track and field team finished second in the Indiana DIII Meet with 170 points after placing in the top three in 12 events.
The Tigers had 15 individual top-three finishers and were top-three in both relays. In distance events, Rachel DeLancey took second place in both the 800-meter run (2:26.40) and the 1,500-meter run (4:50.49). Annalise Grammel took third place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:27.54, while Emma Jacobs finished the 1,500-meter in 4:56.19 for third. In the 5,000-meter run, Sophie Porter finished third with a time of 18:39.55.
Kendall Mann completed the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 12:22.14 for second place, and in the final distance run of the afternoon, DePauw's Meredith Sierpina took second in the 10,000-meter run (38:19.10), while teammate Maddie Perry finished in third with a time of 40:29.19.
In sprints and hurdles, the Tigers continued to dominate. Erin Pasch took second in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.00, earning the first of her four top-two meet finishes. Also recording multiple events with top-two finishes was Seelye Stoffregen, who earned third in the 100-meter hurdles (16.20), and followed that with a first-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:08.45. Pasch and Stoffregen, Charlotte Borland, and Grammel took first place in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:03.45. DePauw's Jaida Smith, Borland, Alexis Cagan, and Lillian Boston finished second in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 50.99.
Pasch earned two more top-two finishes in the field events. She took first place in high jump with a height of 1.57 m and in the javelin throw with a career-best throw of 40.48m. Also competing in the high jump was freshman Abby Hartman who took third with a jump of 1.44m. Rounding out the Tigers' top-three finishers was Emma Stemen, who earned second in pole vault with a height of 3.15m.
The Tigers travel to Rose-Hulman for the Twilight Meet on Friday, April 22, with a start time of 4 pm EDT.
