Crawfordsville, Ind.- Totaling 201 points, the DePauw women's track and field team finished first out of five at the Huntsman Family Invitational hosted by Wabash College.
The Tigers finished with 24 top-ten individual finishes; 17 of the 24 were top three, and DePauw took first place in the 4x400 meter relay, with Charlotte Borland, Annalise Grammel, Seelye Stoffregen, and Erin Pasch finishing with a time of 4:15.93.
Pasch led the team with a total of 24 points after taking first place in the long jump (5.61m), second place in the 200-meter dash (25.19), and third place in the 100-meter hurdles (14.66). Pasch's second and third-place finishes were just behind Division I athletes competing from Eastern Illinois.
DePauw's Grammel earned first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:00.68, and in the 800-meter run, the Tigers swept the top three times. Emma Jacobs finished the 800-meter run in 2:31.57, followed by Kate Hennessey (2:31.98) and Sophie Porter (2:32.11). Porter would take second in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 5:02.41, while teammate Emma Jacobs took fourth with a time of 5:13.75.
In the 5,000-meter run, the DePauw swept the top four spots; leading the charge was Kendall Mann (19.07.17), followed by Brynn Urban with a time of 19:33.87, Jenny Noll (19:34.56) took third, followed by Rachel DeLancey in fourth with a time of 19:52.43.
In the field events, the Tigers continued to dominate. Including Pasch's first-place finish in the long jump, DePauw earned two more first-place finishes in the field events. Emma Stemen took first in pole vault with a final height of 3.15m, while Reanna Stiehler took first in the hammer throw with 38.38m.
Mady Altman earned second place in shot put (9.58m) and javelin throw (28.01m). In the long jump, Lynna Hendershot also finished second with a jump of 4.51m. Rounding out DePauw's top three finishers in field events were Abby Hartman, who earned third in high jump (1.40m), and Alexis Cagan, who finished third in javelin throw with a throw of 26.42m.
The Tigers return to Greencastle, Ind., for the Indiana DIII Meet. The meet is set to start at 11 am EDT in Blackstock Stadium.
