Terre Haute, Ind.- The DePauw women's outdoor track and field team totaled 185 points to take first out of eight teams at the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Invitational to open the outdoor season.
The Tigers finished the afternoon with 17 top-three finishes across 12 events. DePauw senior Erin Pasch led the team with three first-place finishes in the 200-meter dash (26.05), the 400-meter dash (58.67), and the 100-meter hurdles (15.24). Emma Jacobs and Rachel DeLancey recorded two individual top-three finishes each; Jacobs took first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:27.74 and second in the 1500 meter run (5:00.61). DeLancey finished second in the 800-meter run (2:28.65) and first in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:59.93.
Annalise Grammel finished second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.15, while Maddie Perry earned third in the 5000-meter run with a time of 19:19.88. In the 400-meter hurdles, Seelye Stoffregen finished first in 1:08.89, while in the 3000-meter steeplechase, Kendall Mann and Jenny Noll took first (12:19.82) and second (12:45.51), respectively. In the closely contested 4x100 meter relay, Charlotte Borland, Grammel, Alexis Cagan, and Stoffregen finished third in 51.64, just 0.06 seconds after second place.
In the field events, Abby Hartman finished third in high jump with a final height of 1.49 m, and Emma Stemen took third in pole vault, with a final height of 3.12 m. Rounding out the Tigers' top-three individual finishes was Jaida Smith, who earned third in long jump with a 4.84m jump.
DePauw's next meet will be a two-day invite at WashU on April 1st and 2nd.
