Springfield, Ohio- Paced by a strong first day, the DePauw men's indoor track and field team totaled 78 points and finished fifth at the North Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships. Wabash won with 151.5 points, followed by Wooster with 88 points.
Michael Ocasek earned the Tigers' third All-NCAC performance after earning second in the 1-mile run with a time of 4:16.31, joining Ocasek as a top-ten finisher in the 1-mile run was Bailey Scott, who finished fourth with a time of 4:21.04, and Hudson Alden, who completed the race in 4:23.27 for seventh-place.
Scott would finish seventh in the 800-meter(2:03.94) run and sixth in the 3,000-meter run (8:52.36), just behind fellow Tiger Matt Rowley, who completed the 3,000-meter run in 8:47.85 to take fourth-place. Ford Baker would complete the 3,000-meter run in 8:55.93 for ninth-place.
Garrett Elkins and Daniel Jansen competed in high jump, finishing fourth (1.93m) and fifth (1.88m), respectively. Joshua Kaluwasha jumped 12.54m in the triple jump, finishing in ninth place, while Bennett DeCoursey finished fifth in the weight throw (15.49m).
Daniel Jansen, Ayo Laleye, Christian Troupe, and Darren McLaurin finished eighth in the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:32.44. The 4x400 relay of Jansen, Callaway Bird, Henry Streib, and Ocasek also took eighth in 3:31.78.
