Springfield, Ohio- After the first day of the North Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, the DePauw women's team sits in third place with 33 points.
The Tigers pulled four top-ten finishes across the first day of the Championships. In the women's long jump, senior Erin Pasch took home first with a jump of 5.38m. Emma Stemen would take sixth in pole vault with a final vault of 3.04m, while Meredith Sierpina finished fourth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:23.17, and Jenny Noll finished in 19:36.90, to take tenth place.
DePauw's final top-four finish was in the distance medley with Sophie Porter, Kate Hennessey, Emma Jacobs, and Rachel DeLancey, who finished in 12:50.71 for fourth-place.
Charlotte Borland qualified for Saturday's 60-meter dash as she placed seventh in the prelims in 8.15. Pasch finished third in the 60-meter hurdles prelims, with a qualifying time of 9.18; she would also take first place in the 400-meter run prelims (58.09). Seelye Stoffregen finished third in the 400-meter run prelims with a time of 1:01.57, while Annalise Grammel took fifth-place in the 800-meter run prelims, finishing with a time of 2:22.56.
Day two of the Championships wraps up on Saturday, with the first events starting at 10 am EST.
