Greencastle, Ind.- The DePauw men's indoor track and field team finished fifth of 11 teams in its final home invitational of the indoor season. The Tigers finished the invitational with 74 points and had seven top-three finishes, including an event sweep.
Bird Callaway earned DePauw's first, third-place finish of the invitational after running the 800-meter run in 2:00.46. In the 1 mile run, Matt Rowley took first place with a time of 4:27.21. DePauw would sweep the 3000-meter run with Ford Baker taking first (8:49.28), followed by Hudson Alden in second (8:52.34), and Bailey Scott in third (8:54.31).
The final two top-three finishers were Garrett Elkins and Bennett DeCoursey. Elkins finished third in high jump (1.88m), while DeCoursey earned second in shot put with a throw of 14.12m.
Next Saturday, February 19, the Tigers travel to Ohio for NCAC Combined Events at Wooster.
