15 Tigers Named to the 2021 NFHCA DIII National Academic Squad

Greencastle, Ind.- Fifteen DePauw University field hockey team members were recognized as student-athletes on the 2021 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squad, the most for DePauw since 2018.

Over 2,300 student-athletes from over 161 Division III institutions were recognized as members of the 2021 NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad.

The Division III National Academic Squad program celebrates student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the 2021-22 academic year.

The 2021 honorees appear below in alphabetical order. This year 323 seniors or fifth-year student-athletes were recognized as four-year recipients of this honor. DePauw seniors Christina Bourantas (Wilmington, Del./Wilmington Christian School) and Eva Nicholson (Cincinnati, Ohio/ Summit Country Day School) were a part of this total and are marked with an asterisk.

In addition to being named to the NFHCA DIII National Academic Squad, Borantas was also recognized as one of over 500 student-athletes named as an NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction.

The Scholars of Distinction program highlights student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2021-22 academic year. ( ! indicates the recipient is a Scholar of Distinction)
